Moscato d'asti 2023 (G.D. Vajra)

Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant. Founded in 1972, the G.D. Vajra winery is located in the municipality of Barolo. It is a family-run company, which extends over approximately 50 hectares of vineyards from which it produces Piedmontese wines that are a strong expression of the territory.

The Moscato Bianco grapes for this delicious wine come from vineyards planted between 1986 and 2007 in the municipality of Mango, in the province of Cuneo. Here the grapes benefit from excellent southern exposure, which guarantees excellent ripening and the development of all the aromatic character of this grape variety.

Moscato d'Asti G.D. Vajra is a harmonious and persuasive wine with a fresh and easy-to-drink character. It has a bright straw yellow color with some greenish hues. On the nose, it is intensely fragrant with an attractive aromatic profile that integrates exotic fruits and stone fruits, white flowers, and notes of sage.

On the palate, it is delicate and lively, fresh and pleasantly fruity. The sweetness is very well balanced. It goes well with custard desserts and fruit tarts and is a traditional pairing with Panettone.

It is also excellent with some light Asian dishes and, thanks to its low alcohol content, it’s a perfect wine for Sunday brunch.
