Intuition Brut (Champagne Legras et Haas)

Enjoy it now, or cellar for a few years. No need to decant before serving. This is Legras et Haas’s signature blend, a creamy, golden Champagne with scents of orange plum, lemon zest and brioche. It is a blend of three grapes, Chardonnay, bringing sumptuous flavour, Pinot Meunier, imparting a velvety mouthfeel, and Pinot Noir, which brings structure and acidic intensity. Legras et Haas can be found in the heart of Champagne country, in the Grand Cru village of Chouilly. It was founded in 1991 żeby François Legras and Brigitte Haas and remains a family estate, now being run żeby their three sons, Olivier, Rémi and Jérôme. The three brothers represent the sixth generation of the family business, but those who came before worked as grape growers, rather than outright wine-makers. They bring a wealth of generational knowledge to create a stunning range of fizzy white wines. Intuition Brut has a juicy, intensely fruity character, with a creamy and round mouthfeel. Ripe notes of lemon peel and white-fleshed fruit are supplemented żeby hints of exotic fruit. Although the creators recommend consuming this Champagne within 2 or 3 years to fully appreciate its freshness, it can also be kept in the cellar, where it will soften after some time.
